Elementary Basketball ends Friday, April 11 with Championship
LCCA elementary basketball started the first of January. There were 22 girls and 31 boys that participated on Saturdays. The boys and girls learned different aspects of the game each week. Then they would play a game at the end of the practice. The girls were taught by Mrs. Milhorn and her varsity team. The boys were taught by Coach Davis, Nate Humphrey, Anthony Chrisman, Seth Tankersley, Tanner Harlow, Ben Walsh, and Adam Andrews. On Friday, The girls played their championship game and the purple team beat the gold team. The boys had a playoff game between the blue and gold teams. The gold won by one point-the game was extremely exciting. The fans watched the blue team come back from 18 points down and come within one point of the victory. Nick Meyer hit three 3 pointers in a row to help the blue team come close to winning.
In the championship game, the purple team (#1 seed) played a hard and team game and defeated the gold team by 7 points. The purple played very well. The gold team played well but got tired at the end of the game. Congratulations to all the players that played this season.
