Over the past few years coach Davis, the Assistant Principal and Athletic Director of L.C.C.A., has provided an excellent program for home schoolers and elementary students. The elementary basketball program teaches young girls and boys the fundamentals of basketball with a spiritual emphasis. The participants begin with a devotion from the Word of God training the importance of one's relationship with God. The boys and girls then spend thirty minutes learning the necessary skills of the sport. The teams being divided at the beginning of the season begin to play eight minute games to put those skills to use. The skills developed are rewarded at the end of the season with trophies and special recognition for their individual and team achievements.
We have seen this ministry be a great open door to the community and development of each student both physically and spiritually.
